To Stage Or Not To Stage, Is Never The Question!

To stage or not to stage? That should never be the question. Many clients have asked “does home staging really help sell your home or get tenants into a rental”? Simply put, yes! Staged homes sell on average 88% faster and for 20% more. Therefore staging your home can often be the difference in a home that sits on the market and multiple offer situations. If you applied these numbers to any investment scenario it would be considered an absolute win with low barriers to entry, minimal risk and maximum reward.

How much does home staging cost?
Home staging varies based on the size of the home, depth of staging (light vs full) and number of rooms staged. On average you can expect to spend anywhere from $1500 to $6500.

What is the difference between Virtual staging and traditional staging?
Virtual staging is when a photographer virtually places images into a room. For example they take a picture of the blank bedroom and then through a computer program add in a bed, night stands, plants and some decorative art. Traditional staging requires actually placing the furniture in the room.

Who pays for staging, me or my Realtor?
Home staging is typically paid for by the home owner but in some cases it may be offered by your real estate professional.

How long do I keep the furniture? The length of time is negotiated based on the clients needs. There is a 2 month minimus which is included in your service package with Atipical Design Co and there is a monthly fee for furniture needed longer than that.

What if I only need 1 or 2 rooms staged?
Need only light staging or only 1 or 2 bedrooms? No problem. You can stage a full house or just a few areas.

What is the difference between full staging and light staging? Light staging typically refers to accent items and specific rooms. For example accent furniture, art, decorative pieces and pillows. Full staging would take an empty room and stage it to its desired use. For example; Full staging for a living room may include adding a sofa, rug, coffee table, art and decorative accents.
